Connecting to the internet using this option is as easy as simply opening the lid and supplying power to the case. This keeps the system cool and is the fastest way to operate without making any connections other than an extension cord.  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOption 2.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e If you do not want to operate your system with the lid open, you simply remove the dish from the case and use the supplied 3’ cable to connect the dish while sitting on the top or next to your case. That’s right, each case comes with this short ethernet cable meaning you do not have to remove that long, tangled cord unless you want to operate the dish a distance from the case. This is the preferred method for operating your Starlink system using the Savage Case.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003eOption 3\u003c\/span\u003e.\u003c\/strong\u003e It is possible to operate your entire system inside the case with the lid closed. You \u003cspan style=\"color: #ff2a00;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMUST BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e with what environment you are in when you use this method and for how long you use this method. Starlink recommends not to operate the system components in an environment above 122 degrees F for the router and 140 degrees F for the power unit. Operating the entire system inside the case is possible but you must be\u003cstrong\u003e \u003cspan style=\"color: #ff2a00;\"\u003eEXTREMELY\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e aware of the heat being generated by the system.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eWe strongly recommend using a thermal sensor that is available in the dropdown menu at checkout. We have found great success using this device to accurately track thermal patterns inside the case. This will allow you to monitor the internal temperature and humidity of the case while it is operating. You set the parameters for when the sensor will notify you and once it reaches that temperature, you receive a text or email within seconds.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv style=\"text-align: left;\"\u003eWe \u003cspan style=\"color: #ff2a00;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDO NOT\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e recommend operating your system while it is entirely enclosed in temperatures above 60 degrees F or for extended periods of time beyond 2 hours. The thermal testing we did showed minimal temperature increase for the first 2-3 hours.
